Well, the new Mr and Mrs Crawford certainly proved everyone otherwise, with their super glam NYC-influenced Big Day at the always beautiful Combermere Abbey!
The weather decided to play on our side, giving me perhaps the best sunshine I’d had all season! With those gold sequin bridesmaid dresses sparkling in the sunshine, and bathing our beautiful bride Lucy in a warm glow wherever the ‘Bride Tribe’ travelled, I couldn’t have asked for better light to play with.
Both our bride Lucy and groom Rich got ready on-site at Combermere, in one of their many quaint accommodation options – which made for some stunning bridal prep shots. I particularly loved photographing the girls as they made their way to the Glasshouse for the ceremony on foot; Lucy really was beaming ear-to-ear as she walked towards her man!
Following the beautiful ceremony, I was spoilt for choice when it came to the portraits of the happy new couple. There are just so many picturesque locations around the ground at Combermere.
Drinks reception over, the couple and their guests moved into the marquee for the wedding breakfast, which I was very lucky to enjoy also. Not one, not two, but three amazing mini pies for the main dish is most definitely a winner in my eyes – and they were nothing short of delicious!
Tear-jerking speeches, sparkler salutes and cocktails-a-plenty took this lovely pair and their guests through to the evening celebrations – and boy, did these guys know how to party!
