So, your Big Day has been postponed and things are feeling flat, to say the least… Well, pop that bottle of bubbly and settle in for our guide on keeping your spirits up when planning and looking forward to your big day, when you have a little while longer to wait. Cue the magic.

Just a reminder
Whether you opt for digital or IRL, sending out little reminders to your guests will keep them excited about the upcoming nuptials. No one likes spam but a little something to look forward to will lift everyones spirits, especially at a time like this… Whether you show a glimpse of the menu or some gorgeous shots of your venue, get creative and you could even set a little countdown!
Teasing the day
This one is more for yourself than anyone else, but after all the arranging and planning, it would be a shame not to revisit it a few (read: a thousand) times before the big day. Get out your shoes (maybe even practice walking in them if they’re newbies) and have a peek at your dress, along with Instagram stalking your venue, florist and caterers… It is fun, trust us!
Pre-honeymoon
Yes, it is a bit of a blow not getting married to the love of your life when you thought, let alone postponing the honeymoon… but that doesn’t make it any less exciting sharing a life together! Play a staycation or even a romantic date night to up the ante in the run up to the wedding itself. From glamping to a spa day and everything in between, adventure hasn’t been cancelled, even though almost everything else has been!
Celebrate your original date
Book a special meal in a lovely restaurant, or pop open the bubbly and cook something fancy together if you are stuck at home – complete with flowers and table settings just as you would have had on your Big Day for an extra special feel. You could create a slideshow with photos and memories throughout the course of your relationship to surprise your partner with, or mark the occasion with some fun antics virtually with your bridal party.
